Coastal Voyager Plan

Concierge Travel Medicine Consultation — $599 one-time fee

Coastal Voyager is a personalized, physician-led travel medicine consultation designed to prepare patients for safe, confident domestic or international travel. It's the alternative to generic travel clinics — where rushed appointments and one-size-fits-all recommendations leave travelers underprepared for the actual health risks of their itinerary.

Every Coastal Voyager consultation includes:

  • Comprehensive pre-travel medical consultation with a board-certified physician

  • Destination-specific health risk assessment based on your itinerary, planned activities, trip duration, and personal medical history

  • Review and optimization of chronic medical conditions prior to travel

  • Medication reconciliation and travel-appropriate adjustments

  • Prescription guidance and coordination for common travel-related conditions when clinically appropriate (traveler's diarrhea, altitude illness, motion sickness, jet lag support)

  • Vaccine counseling and coordination, including required and recommended immunizations for your destinations

  • Malaria and other prophylaxis counseling when indicated

  • Guidance on food, water, insect, climate, and environmental exposures specific to your destinations

  • Medical documentation support — travel letters, medication carry letters for customs, and other documentation as needed

  • Post-travel follow-up visit for new or persistent symptoms after your return

Who Coastal Voyager Is For:

Coastal Voyager is built for individuals, families, and executives planning domestic or international travel who want expert, personalized medical preparation — without relying on generic travel clinics or rushed appointments.

It's especially valuable for:

  • International travelers heading to regions with infectious disease, altitude, or climate-related risks

  • Patients with chronic medical conditions who need pre-travel optimization

  • Executives traveling to multiple countries on a single trip

  • Families planning adventure travel, expedition cruises, or remote destinations

  • Patients on multiple medications who need travel-appropriate adjustments and documentation

  • Anyone whose itinerary doesn't fit a standard travel clinic checklist

How Coastal Voyager Differs From Standard Travel Clinics

Standard travel clinics work in 20-minute appointments and recommend a generic list of vaccines based on the country you're visiting. They rarely account for your itinerary's specifics, your medical history, or the actual day-to-day risks of how you'll be traveling.

Coastal Voyager is built around your specific trip. A two-week safari has different risks than a Paris business trip. A patient with diabetes traveling to high altitude needs different preparation than a healthy patient on the same itinerary. Your consultation is built around the actual variables that affect your safety.

Your Physicians

Coastal Voyager consultations are provided by our board-certified physicians, matched based on availability and your specific travel needs. Every Coastal Concierge Physician is trained to provide thorough, evidence-based travel medicine guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I schedule my consultation? Ideally 4-8 weeks before travel. Some vaccines require multiple doses spaced over weeks; antimalarial medications may need to be started days to weeks before departure. Last-minute consultations are still valuable — but earlier is better.

What countries or regions do you cover? All of them. Coastal Voyager consultations are tailored to any destination, whether it's standard international travel, expedition travel, business travel, or adventure trips to remote regions.

Do you administer vaccines on-site? We coordinate vaccines through pharmacies and travel vaccine centers across San Diego, and your physician provides specific recommendations and prescriptions. Some vaccines (yellow fever, for example) require certified administration sites.

What if I get sick during my trip? Coastal Voyager consultations include guidance for managing common travel-related illness while abroad. If you're already a Coastal Essentials or Executive member, your physician is reachable by text or phone during your travels for additional support.

Is this consultation good for one trip or for ongoing travel? The $599 fee covers preparation for one specific trip. Frequent travelers often benefit from joining one of our membership programs (Coastal Essentials or Executive) for ongoing access between trips.

Can I add Coastal Voyager to an existing membership? Yes. Existing Coastal Essentials and Executive members receive Coastal Voyager consultations at different pricing.
