Coastal Balance Membership

Concierge Menopause & Midlife Health — $299/month Individual

Coastal Balance Membership is a physician-led, relationship-based program providing specialized care for perimenopause and menopause — focused on symptom relief, long-term health optimization, and evidence-based hormone management. It's the kind of menopause care that's become rare in modern medicine: unhurried, individualized, and grounded in actual evidence rather than 12-minute insurance visits or generic recommendations.

Every Coastal Balance membership includes:

  • Dedicated menopause-trained internal medicine physician with the time and expertise to manage your care longitudinally

  • Comprehensive initial menopause-focused evaluation and extended follow-up visits

  • Personalized treatment plan addressing vasomotor symptoms, sleep, mood, cognition, sexual health, and metabolic changes

  • Evidence-based hormone therapy management (systemic and local) when clinically appropriate

  • Non-hormonal treatment options and dose optimization for patients who prefer or require alternatives

  • Bone health, cardiovascular risk, and metabolic risk assessment specific to midlife transitions

  • Secure physician messaging for non-urgent clinical questions and medication coordination

  • Coordination with primary care physicians and specialists as needed

Who Coastal Balance Is For:

Coastal Balance is built for patients seeking expert, longitudinal menopause care with a physician who has the time to listen, individualize treatment, and guide midlife health decisions — without replacing their existing primary care relationship.

It's the right fit for:

  • Women in perimenopause experiencing changes their primary care doctor hasn't fully addressed

  • Patients in menopause considering hormone therapy and wanting evidence-based guidance

  • Women managing complex symptoms — sleep disruption, cognitive changes, mood, sexual health concerns — and tired of being dismissed

  • Patients who want a physician relationship focused specifically on midlife health

  • Anyone who wants the time and expertise that traditional insurance-based care can't provide

Why Specialized Menopause Care Matters:

The average primary care visit allocates 12-15 minutes per patient. Menopause care doesn't fit into that window. The decisions involved — whether to use hormone therapy, what type, what dose, how to manage cardiovascular and bone health, how to address sleep and cognition — require time, expertise, and a longitudinal relationship.

Most women don't get that. They're told their symptoms are "normal" or handed a single prescription. Coastal Balance is the opposite: a physician dedicated to getting your midlife health right.

Your Physician:

Coastal Balance members work directly with our board-certified internal medicine physician with specialized training in menopause care, hormone therapy, and midlife women's health.

We serve Coastal Balance members across all of San Diego County, with visits available in-home or via secure telemedicine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be in menopause to join Coastal Balance? No. Many of our members are in perimenopause — the years before menopause when hormone fluctuations cause symptoms. Coastal Balance is designed to support women through the entire midlife transition, which can begin in the late 30s or 40s.

Is hormone therapy required? No. Hormone therapy is one of several treatment options. Many Coastal Balance members benefit from non-hormonal approaches, lifestyle interventions, or targeted treatment of specific symptoms. Your physician will work with you to determine what fits your goals and medical history.

Will Coastal Balance replace my OB/GYN? No. Coastal Balance complements your existing care. We coordinate with your OB/GYN and other specialists as needed.

What about the safety concerns I've heard about hormone therapy? The research on hormone therapy has evolved significantly over the past decade. Modern, evidence-based hormone therapy — appropriately prescribed and monitored — is safe for most women in early menopause. We will walk you through the current evidence and help you make an informed decision.

Can I add Coastal Balance to another Coastal Concierge plan? Yes. Some patients combine Coastal Balance with Coastal Essentials for both menopause expertise and 24/7 urgent care access. Coastal Executive may include menopausal care. Contact us to discuss combined membership pricing.

How are visits conducted? Visits can be in-home anywhere in San Diego County, or via secure telemedicine when appropriate. Initial evaluations are typically in-person; follow-ups can be either format.
